Race for the Cure 2011

                                           It was dark and cold at 6am, but we were smiling.

What an amazing experience! This is my first 5K walk. I have been wanting do something like this for years. Challenge myself and raise money for a fantastic cause. Our team, Pretty Powerful Divas in Pink, raised $445! I exceeded my personal fundraising goal of $100 and raised $150. We finished the walk in about an hour. It was so heartwarming to see so many people participate in the race/walk. We all know someone who has been affected by breast cancer. I pray we find a cure soon. This will definitely be an annual event for us.

    Great job Laura and team. I figured if I commented on your blog you would be surprised and write more interrupted stuff! I need a blog - a wanna be chefs life! I'm trying. Guess I will be bout 50! Hopefully Chopped will still be on
